Mammoth is known in the summer for its renowned mountain biking trails. Mammoth Ski Area in the summer transforms to challenge mountain bike enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels. Road bikers have plenty of asphalt routes to choose from, be it peddling around town, Minaret Road to Mammoth Mountain Main Lodge and on up to the breathtaking Minaret Vista, or cruising the scenic stretches of U.S. Highway 395. The California Welcome Center - Mammoth Lakes located at the entrance to town on State Highway 203 offers free mountain biking trail maps and information on route descriptions, trail ethics and precautions. Your choice of terrain, sensational Sierra scenery and that famous California summer sunshine make an irresistible combination for mountain or road biking. Test your suspension on the Inyo National Forest's vast network of trails and unpaved roads. There are so many different conditions and views to discover. In fact, you can cross a couple of microclimates.
| Our Bike rental program offers a demo program with a complete line of mountain bikes available - Santa Cruz, Specialized, Trek, Norco and Intense. Helmets are included with bike rentals. Ask about our 20% discount for rentals of 4 days or more. Group rates available for parties of 8 or more (not valid on Holidays). Our bikes are not equipped for riding after dark. Protective gear packages available for rent.

| In summer, Mammoth Mountain`s ski slopes are transformed into a mountain bike paradise. Riders of all abilities and conditioning levels can take advantage of its extensive trail system. More than 80 miles of groomed single-track trail and lift access to the 11,053-foot summit make the mountain very popular. Bike Rentals available. Mammoth Mountain Bike Park offers an entire fleet of brand new, top-of-the-line rentals and demos. Visit the rental shop inside the Adventure Center and experience the convenience of our trailside location. This worry-free experience will get you on the hill without any hassles, as you can get everything you need for a day on the hill right here. We have products for all abilities, a knowledgable staff, and if you`re renting for more than one day, we`ll store your bike overnight at no additional charge. |
